El is an interdisciplinary artist, theatre director, and arts educator. Her work focuses on integrating art making into daily lived experiences and building inter-community trust. Communities she has worked with include NYPD officers, refugee youth, religious groups and incarcerated artists. El has a background in organizational studies, social work, and performing arts. 

Previously, El was a fellow with Institute of International Education, a curator and guest lecturer at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
